The Joe Bozzi Band
Joe Bozzi is best known for wowing crowds at the St. Louis Playboy Club at Vandeventer and Lindell Boulevard. During the club's heyday in the 1960s, Bozzi backed up musical icons like trumpet player Dizzy Gillespie and saxophonist Cannonball Adderly. Popular entertainers such as Johnny Carson and Bill Cosby appeared regularly during his tenure at the Playboy Club.
Now a St. Louis legend and considered the "Godfather of St. Louis Music", Joe's music is a blend of traditional and modern jazz. However, if the occasion calls for pop, rock or top 40 music, Joe and the band provide the best in these genres as well, with Joe on the trumpet as well as his beloved vibes.
